Thread: Happy New Year from GamersComm.net!

Hey guys! First I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year! Hope you guys brought the New Year in strong! It is now 2011, which is just crazy time flies! Last year with the site we set some goals to reach throughout the year and I think we did a great job.

Some things we accomplished this year:

2010 was a big year for us, we changed our site completely from The360Place.com to GamersComm.net which allowed us to add dicussions about more platforms rather than just Xbox 360.

More posts and threads - We pretty much doubled the amount of posts we had the previous year which was just amazing!

Community events - We had quite a few of these but not as much as we hoped for..Let's get gaming in 2011 people!!

Expanding the community - 2010 was an amazing year for us as we expanded the site so much! We got more members this year then any previous year! With the help and support of great community members we launched our very own Podcast! I added a Game Captures service which allowed us to advertise and reach out to more people!

Social Networking - We really blitzed the social networking sites this past year! Most of our traffic came from Twitter and Facebook! These sites allowed us to reach tons of people and really get the site known.

I say we had a fantastic year..What do you think??

Now for 2011 here are some things we need to accomplish as a community!

More posts: As stated above we pretty much doubled our posts in 2010 from the previous year, in 2011 let's quadruple it!

More Community Events: We definitely need to start getting the site together more often. I know it is hard because we don't all have the same game but 90% have Black Ops or Halo Reach, so let's set up a day or something and get a nice big party going! Don't be afraid to start a thread with a request to have a big get together or even set up your own event!

Expand the Community: We did a great job in 2010, let's do an even better job in 2011!! I am pushing GamersComm as much as I can being 1 person so this needs to be a community effort. I know the guys on the Podcast are really helping out and their Podcast is getting better every time which is just great! I hope we can really get GamersComm known this year! It would be amazing if you could take some time out of your day or week and just let one of your gaming buddies know about it!

- The past couple of years I have been SLOWLY working on a very big project and hopefully in 2011 it will be ready to launch! It will be amazing and it will also help GamersComm out very much! I can't really say much about it because it is still in the very early development stages but I want to let you guys know that I have meetings coming up soon to actually get development moving and I will hopefully have a BETA of it for you guys to test out soon! So stay tuned!

So in conclusion, it has been an amazing year for GamersComm! I hope 2011 brings us more members, more activity and more good times! Help us build this community up! Let us know if you have any ideas that can help promote and expand the site!

Yeah congrats on the website! I'm glad to be a part and helping start the podcast. I'm hoping we can get people in the Steam group and maybe we can start a tradition of Reach, BlOps and some other games every month or so. Getting the site out there to more people will help us grow.
