That's the problem. AMD has kinda given up on the AM3 platform from what I see when they introduced their new APUs and the Bulldozer series. If you are gonna update, I would say go with the setup I custom made for you, but more than likely, you can hang on to the 6-core and be good for about 4-5 years with it.
Best case scenario: your CPU holds fine and you don't bottleneck too much when you upgrade your RAM and GPU
Worst case: your PC ****s itself from having an outdated CPU and won't running any newer games at the frame rates you expect
